Video: Indiana and Purdue dugouts clear in Big Ten Tourney title game

There were a lot of emotions on the field Saturday night between Indiana and Purdue. The two in-state rivals were playing for a Big Ten Tournament Championship.

Tied at 5, top of the ninth, Purdue had two runners on. After a hit to third, the batter was out, one run scored (for the lead) and another player slid into third, taking out Indiana third baseman Michael Basil. It was a nasty slide that could have broken Basil’s leg.

Dugouts cleared and a fight ensued.

Purdue struck out the next two batters and caught a fly-ball to center to take the game and tournament title 6-5.
