Considering the tension and chatter this week, up until the trade deadline Thursday at 3:00 pm ET, Friday felt good for the Pacers.

It’s back to normality after the team stood pat.

The little things, like running out of the tunnel and team introductions, meant a little more for Paul George, who’s name was at the center of several possible trades. Ultimately, nothing happened and he once against suited up for the Pacers.

“Everybody needed to just put that behind us and get ready for what’s ahead,” George said at morning shootaround.

After the Pacers’ 102-92 much-needed win over the Memphis Grizzlies, George candidly shared how he had “an emotional moment” before the game due to recent events.

“It was an emotional moment to be honest,” he said. “Even running out of the tunnel, I couldn’t help but have a little smirk from them just being happy and cheering and really happy for me continuing on my career here. I felt that. I was a little … I felt a little queasy going out. But that’s the reason why I love being here, that’s the love I love.”
