Brody’s wish comes true, Steph Curry visits him at Indy hospital

Brody Stephens is seven years old, and he’s going through a fight no kid should ever have to go through. He has leukemia and is hospitalized after undergoing a bone marrow transplant.

Based on his father’s Twitter account, Brody is a big basketball fan. And his favorite player is Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors.

With an off day in Indianapolis on Sunday, the two-time NBA MVP — and head coach Steve Kerr — paid a visit to Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health to see Brody … and make his wish come true.

His father, Jason, shared the following photo Sunday on Twitter. It’s the best thing you’ll see all weekend.

Brody gave Curry an orange and black bracelet that read “BrodyStrong,” and the Warriors’ star promised to wear it Monday night against the Pacers, per the hospital’s blog.

ESPN’s Nicole Brisocoe, who once was a local sports reporter at WISH-TV, urged Curry to drop by Brody’s room while she hosted SportsCenter on Friday.

gofundme page for Brody, a New Palestine, Indiana native, has raised over $7,000 “for expenses and savings.”

Brody also got national attention last week for getting out of his room to dribble a basketball — while still hooked up to a machine.

Glenn Robinson III of the Pacers and Jack Doyle of the Colts are big supporters of Brody and have visited him in the hospital several times.
