IU’s Troy Williams to remain in the draft

Troy Williams, who spent the last three years in Bloomington playing for Indiana, will forgo his senior season and remain in the NBA Draft.

Williams will be represented by Stephen Pina of ASM Sports, Pina confirmed to VigilantSports.com Wednesday.

The Oak Hill Academy product averaged 13.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.7 turnovers per game during his junior year in Bloomington. The Hoosiers lost in the Sweet 16 to No. 1 seed UNC, 101-86.

Williams took part in the Pacers’ first pre-draft workout back on May 17 and then said he was still “50-50” on his decision.

Williams will call into The Kent Sterling Show on CBS Sports 1430 in Indianapolis at 4:20 pm ET Wednesday to discuss his decision.

Williams measured to be 6-foot-8, 217.8 pounds at the NBA Draft Combine. His hand length is 8.25 inches, hand width is 9.25 inches, and he has 10 percent body fat.
