Pacers’ Myles Turner to ride in the 500 Festival Parade

Fresh off of his rookie season, Pacers center Myles Turner will ride in the 2016 IPL 500 Festival Parade.

The 60th edition of the parade will be on the day before the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 — Saturday, May 28th beginning at 11:45 am.

Tickets have already sold out, but it can be seen locally on WTHR and nationally on NBC Sports Network.

Last year, former Pacers head coach Frank Vogel and star Paul George were both in the parade.

Turner was voted on the NBA’s All-Rookie Second Team despite missing 21 games due to injury.

Inspirational teen and philanthropist Emma Stumpf will serve at the Grand Marshal.

Other VIPs expected include Walk Off The Earth, Roger Penske, Nick Gehlfuss, David Anspaugh, Drew Lynch, David Boudia, Joe Reitz, Josh Kauffman, Kevin Sorbo, Richard Rawlings, Lieutenant General Joseph Anderson, Josh Tibbs, Major General Courtney P. Carr, Governor Mike Pence, Mayor Joe Hogsett, Bob Jenkins, Florence Henderson, Mario Andretti, Johnny Rutherford, and Rick Mears.
