Solomon Hill treats fans to a movie night

Solomon Hill wanted to treat fans to a fun night out, and so he did just that on Tuesday evening. Hill, playing his third season for the Pacers, treated 140 people — appropriate because he announced the opportunity on Twitter — to a movie night at a nearby AMC theater to see Deadpool.

“I came up with the idea and me and Karen (Atkeson, Director of Player Development) executed,” Hill said. “It was the first time around and a great outcome so hopefully I’ll get to do it again.”

The first 140 people to sign up were each given two movie tickets, plus a coupon for a complimentary drink, popcorn, and fruit snacks.

After the show, Hill interacted with the group, snapped some pictures, signed autographs, and thanked them for coming out.

It’s a small gesture, but a meaningful one. Teams are always looking into creative ways for their players to interact with fans. However, this one was Hill’s idea and it may not be the first and only time…

Experiences, like this one, aren’t soon forgotten about.
