Sports-packed Sunday in Indianapolis

For sports fans in Indianapolis, days like Sunday are special. There’s plenty going on downtown and by nighttime, our great city will be showcased in front of a national audience on Sunday Night Football.

But let’s not skip ahead.

2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Pacers FanJam
5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: Colts pregame tailgate and radio show at the Tin Roof
8:30 p.m.: Kickoff at Lucas Oil Stadium

First up on this Sunday, with temperatures topping out around 60, is Pacers FanJam. If you like hoops and the Blue & Gold, this is an annual event that’s worth attending. Especially if you have children.

You just never know what might go on at Pacers FanJam.

You just never know what might go on at Pacers FanJam.

It runs from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Free parking is offered in the Virginia Ave. garage and there’s plenty to keep you entertained. The first 4,000 guests will receive a complimentary hot dog, chips and a Pepsi product in addition to a voucher for a free t-shirt.

If you haven’t been down to the Fieldhouse or have always been in a rush on game nights, this is a great opportunity to take your time and soak it all in. The rich history, culture, and feel to the place is special.

The first hour is all about hanging out, getting autographs of former Pacers, team broadcasters and even the Pacemates.

At 3 p.m., the team will take the court. They will play some, get the crowd going, and then this session typically ends with rookie duties. Last year, Damjan Rudež and Shayne Whittington had to sing a popular song. The Pacers have four rookies in camp: Myles Turner, Joe Young, Rakeem Christmas, and Kadeem Jack.

Then, the final hour is where you can get autographs for a select group of people.

Tip: You’ll only have time to wait in line at one station of three players or so, so decide who is atop your list (and maybe venture beyond Paul George, who’ll have the longest line) and then attack it appropriately. Also, let me help you: Pictures are where it’s at. Always go with pictures over autographs if possible. It’s way more meaningful.

Once you’re done at the Fieldhouse, make your way across the street to the Tin Roof (at Pennsylvania and Maryland), where myself and Kent Sterling will be broadcasting from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. — airing on 1430AM and online — getting you ready for the Colts’ clash with the Patriots on Sunday night.

You can have a nice pre-game drink (or two, or three), while getting our takes and hearing from players inside the locker room like Matt Hasselbeck, Robert Mathis, Greg Toler, David Parry, and more. Plus, perspectives from New England.

By 8:00 p.m., after several cocktails, make your way to Lucas Oil Stadium for the most-anticipated home game of the season — and maybe any game throughout the league all year.

The variety and uniqueness of design is unlimited with many
groups and individuals creating their own personal design. You get your name out to anyone that person sees while wearing
that t-shirt is worn. As opposed to printing specifically onto the material, this alternative prints the outline onto a vinyl sheet,
which is sliced to size and after that stuck onto the
    thing.
