VIDEO: Paul George works on ball handling

Paul George took the floor Saturday night and as some of his teammates were going through his pre-game routine, both he and George Hill went through ball handling drills. As seen in the video above, George worked with assistant video coordinator Mike DiBenedetto prior to the Pacers hosting the Washington Wizards to Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

It’s been a little more than three months since George had surgery in a Las Vegas hospital after suffering an open tibia-fibula fracture. Although he has not been made available to non-team media members since August 15th, his first time talking after surgery, he appears to be making great progress and rapidly improving. And while George hasn’t talked, Pacers President Larry Bird has.

“I think Paul will probably be out all year,” he said prior to the team’s season opener. “We don’t know yet, but it looks that way. … He’s got a rod in his leg holding that bone together and it’s got to heal.”

The Pacers are six games in (1-5) but they already have a long list of players on the injury report.
