George Hill holding Rising Stars Camp Aug. 8

Hill instructs campers on a particular drill at last year’s camp.

Want to learn from and interact with one of Indiana’s most successful professional athletes? Broad Ripple product and IUPUI Hall of Famer George Hill is hosting his Rising Stars basketball camp August 8th and 9th at the Best Choice Fieldhouse in Fishers.

Hill addresses campers at his one-day camp last August.

The camp is for boys and girls in grades 3 through 8. It runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, and costs $175.

Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt, have the opportunity to win additional gifts from Hill, and get to learn first-hand from the Pacers’ starting point guard.

In addition to Hill, attendees will hear from guest speakers and be instructed by Lee Taft.

“Lee Taft is highly respected as one of the top athletic movement specialists in the world,” the camp flyer said. “Over the last 25 years, Lee has devoted the majority of his career to training multi-directional speed to all ages and ability levels.”

Last summer, Hill held a one-day skills camp at Manual High School.

Hill consistently gives back to the central Indiana community. He appreciates his time here, and recognizes the importance of giving back to an area that helped shape who he is today.
