Robert Mathis, Roy Hibbert and fellow professional athletes are busy enough competing at the highest level. But those guys, along with local media, take one night out for a great cause.
Thursday at Victory Field in Indianapolis, Mathis and Hibbert hosted the fourth-annual Caroline Symmes Memorial Softball Challenge.
Colts, Pacers, and Fever players all showed up to play and support the event. Mathis’ team won 1-0 in the low scoring contest (due to so many outfielders).
As usual, it was a fantastic event, on a perfect night, where lots of money was raised.
Proceeds from the game benefit the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund, helping to put smiles on the faces of Indiana children who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness by making a dream come true.
